Strategic Websites
Farris Harvesting – Hiring-Ready Website
A fast, mobile-first website for a Kansas custom harvesting crew, built around seasonal hiring. Launched in about four weeks, then right-sized to a static site with no servers to maintain.

Before and after
The situation
The challenge
Farris Harvesting had no website. Hiring ran through a standalone Google Form, and there was no place for growers or job seekers to learn about the crew. The owners wanted something like the established harvesting sites in their industry: an About page, photos, and an online application that kept submissions easy to reach. Hiring season was about a month out.
Supported outcomes
Results and project impact
The site launched ahead of the hiring season and has been live since February 2026. In the owner's words, the process was quick and easy and they are very happy with the website.
Recommended approachStrategy
Keep what already worked. The client's Google Form collected the right applicant details, including file uploads and sensitive information, so it stayed inside Google rather than being rebuilt. The website wrapped it in a professional front end, styled around the Case IH red the crew runs in the field, with real harvest footage as the hero.
How the work movedDelivery process
The inquiry came in through the InnoNative contact form in early January 2026. Scope and approach were settled over email, with a deposit to start. A working preview was live within about a week; the client sent logo, photos and video, and the site launched on February 20, 2026. A short owner guide covered how to use the site and hiring tools.
After launchCurrent status and ongoing support
Two revision rounds remain available. The domain is being transferred into the client's own account so renewals bill to them directly.
Context
Client or organization background
Farris Harvesting is a custom harvesting operation based in Kansas, running Case IH equipment for growers across Kansas and surrounding areas. Harvest work is seasonal and time-critical, so the business hires a field crew each year.

Implementation
Technical solution
Next.js (App Router) with React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. Four pages: Home, About, Contact and Employment. A video hero built from the client's own field footage, encoded to H.264 with a poster fallback for slow connections. The Employment page links straight to the Google Form application.
The launch build also included a database-backed admin portal for tracking applications, plus transactional email and Google Workspace addresses. After eight months of real use, the client was running everything through Gmail and the Google Form, so in October 2026 the site was converted to a fully static export and the unused backend was removed.
